Dr Mark McCourt

Mark joined PPRC in 1999 to carry out research on automotive fuel lines using various processing conditions which led to him completing a PhD on “The Effect of Fuel Components on the Mechanical Properties of Materials used in Multilayer Fuel Lines”.

Mark has been the project engineer in a series of IUK and EU collaborative research programmes specialising in rotational moulding.  He also delivers short-term consultancy work and fundamental long-term research for small, medium and multinational companies throughout Europe and North America and has travelled extensively to carry out trials and deliver training courses.

More recently his research work has involved the re-use of waste plastics in new products and the combination of both thermoplastic and thermoset composites within rotational moulding.
